Dawn or Dusk Photography Workshop San Quirico

Golden Hour Val d'Orcia

During this Landscape and street photography tour, you’ll be shooting at a number of the most iconic locations in Tuscany’s enchanting Val d’Orcia. To begin with, we shall meet and have a welcome drink at Caffè Dante in Via Etruria, San Quirico.

After understanding the photographic aims of the guests, we then choose between Podere Belvedere or Capella Madonna di Vitaleta as the first location to create memorable captures at dawn or dusk, as might be the case.

When we have completed our image creating we return to San Quirico for breakfast. Once ready, we head into the walled town of San Quirico capturing street images in and about the well-preserved squares and medieval alleys. We will take time to appreciate the beautiful Romanesque Collegiata, San Quirico’s cathedral, Palazzo Chigi and the churches of Santa Maria and San Francesco.

Terrapile

The village is blessed with the Horti Leonini gardens, a fine representation of a classic Italian garden and her adjacent park. This tranquil garden, dating back to 1581, with her sublime geometry, often has various art exhibitions, throughout the year, creating further shooting opportunities and is at her very best as light falls towards the end of the day.

Leaving, San Quirico we shall head over to Loc Terrapille, where director Ridley Scott filmed Gladiator and set up for a final landscape photography session of the day.
