In addition, you will be guided on how to approach an environment, survey the landscape, photograph people indigenous to each of Tuscany's ten provinces.

PHOTOGRAPHIC INTENT & INSTRUCTION

The intent of the workshop is to encourage and support your personal way of working by exploring and investigating photography. Constructing new ways to benefit from easier self-expression gained whilst using advanced visual concepts and technical skills.

Acquiring a complete understanding of light, the camera, focus, depth of field integrated with equipment choices and all the aesthetic elements of image creating will help you attain these new horizons.

STRUCTURE & TEACHING METHOD

We help you to get the best out of our time together using a structured, tried and tested workflow formula. Taught in conjunction with a well-planned itinerary composed of a combination of in field and classroom lectures, demonstrations, tuition, briefings and critique, all in the stunning setting of Tuscany, Italy.

Our teaching method is, work the triad: explanation, exercise and debrief. The simplest way to construct a workshop is to think in units of four.

1. WALKTHROUGH

Demonstrate how to do something.

2. EXCERCISE

Make sure everyone actually tries to do that thing, whilst you help people one on one.

3. DEBRIEF
Lead a discussion of where people got stuck, what parts were fun, hard or frustrating, and what things people learned or realized they want to learn. Show students individual work to the class, helping explain your insights and observations, and as a way to invite them to share theirs. Lead a healthy critique session.
4. REPEAT

With a more challenging concept.
